Important Note on e-mail actions outage

Over the Christmas break we took the opportunity to migrate and upgrade our https://airpointer.tech support site to a new infrastructure provider. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, this resulted in a longer outage of the email server than anticipated, so you may have missed some of our usual email reports.

To keep things going, we have had to revert to our old infra provider for mail services – but this will be discontinued in the near future.

In the future we will replace our email service with an internal push notification provider, but until then you will still have access to our mail services.

What do I need to do now?

For the moment you do not need to do anything. The upcoming update 2.4.111 will automatically update your mail settings to use our new infrastructure.

If you prefer not to wait, or do not want to apply updates, you can :

  • update your mail actions to use your OWN email address and email server
  • Use a public email provider (like gmail)
  • Update the mail settings to use our new infrastructure (you need to be logged on to view this page)

Website Migration Complete

In order to continue providing the best service possible, we have migrated the airpointer.tech website to new infrastructure.

Everything should be as it was before, but if you experience any issues with links or downloads on this site – let us know and we will investigate as soon as possible

Important Information for Rules and Actions

If you are using an email action that sends using the easyname server, this will no longer function by end of Q1 2026. Upcoming recordum update 2.4.111 will provide a workaround that will be valid until end of H1 2026

In any case, you will need to update your email actions to use your own internal email account by end of H1 2026.

To check if this will affect you:

  1. log on to your airpointer etc
  2. Under Rules & Actions view Defaults then email

As the year draws to a close, we’d like to take a moment to thank all of our customers and partners for your trust and collaboration throughout the year.

We wish you a warm and restful holiday season, and—if you celebrate it—a very Merry Christmas.

Office closure & support availability

Our offices are closed from Saturday, 20 December, and we will re-open on Monday, 5 January.
Please note that 6 January is a public holiday in Austria, so normal operations will fully resume from Tuesday, 7 January.

During this period, responses to support requests may be delayed. We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team takes a short seasonal break.

Planned maintenance: support site migration

We’re using this quieter period to improve our infrastructure.

As part of this work, our support site airpointer.tech will be migrated to new infrastructure.
To accommodate this change, there will be a planned outage on Monday, 29 December.

We expect the downtime to be brief and will restore full service as quickly as possible.

Important note on email rules & actions

Following the migration, emails sent using the old infrastructure (including any existing rules or actions set up there) will cease to function by the end of January.

If you rely on automated emails or integrations tied to the current setup, please plan to update them accordingly. We’ll be happy to assist once normal operations resume.

Recordum 2.4.110

December 2025 marks the release of Recordum update 2.4.110.

This release is a minor update that includes :

  • MiniGC Updates – new and improved control of the MiniGC, in preparation for the upcoming 3rd generation MiniGC
  • SO2 Gain Pinning – SO2 gain can now be pinned to a specific gain level
  • A number of minor internal fixes and improvements, setting the stage for more change to come

Recordum 2.4.109

We are pleased to announce the release of Recordum update 2.4.109.

This is a significant update providing a number of minor fixes, and updating the underlying SSL libraries.

The following changes are now available in the new release 2.4.109.

Update by April 27

Our last post made the announcement that the current version, 2.4.108-2, contains some important security updates and the strong recommendation to update your systems.

Please be informed that all systems not updated to at least 2.4.108-2 will no longer be able to connect to the MLU Portal after Sunday, 27th April. This is to ensure the safety and security of all MLU Devices that use the portal.

If you are unable to reach your AirPointer, etc, after this time at your devices web address, then you will need to update.

Stay tuned for the next update, 2.4.110, to be released in May, which will provide a new way to connect.

Important Recordum Security Update

Its been some time since the last update to the Airpointer.tech web site, but this is set to change in 2025, with an exciting year of updates, upgrades and improvements planned.

Firstly, in Q3 of 2024, the latest recordum update was quietly made available to existing customers.  Version 2.4.108-2 ships some important security updates and adds a minor UI update to the web interface (moving the hamburger menu to the left side of the menu bar, among other minor useability tweaks).  The security updates included fix a couple of identified vulnerabilities and provide the base for future security updates.

It is strongly recommended that all systems are updated to version 2.4.108-2.

IMPORTANTthis update is a prerequisite for some internal infrastructure changes coming in the last half of Q1 2025.  Note that any systems that have not been updated to (at least) this version will no longer be able to accessible via the MLU portal at https://[device].recordum.net/

Firmware Upgrade Teltonika RUT950

Our Router solution provider, Teltonika, has a new Web-User-Interface on their Wiki. Thankfully, they provide an upgrade path for all our delivered systems. We wrote a quick guide on how to upgrade your old legacy systems to this new Firmware (RUT9_R_00.07.01.4).

The upgrade is by choice, but it helps when all parties (Teltonika, mlu-recordum and you) use the same graphical user interface during ticket handling.

Traveling can be a bit special during the actual situation, but it is interesting anyhow to meet other people and foreign countries. I enjoyed my stay in Saudi-Arabia a lot, thanks to the great hospitality of Mohamed, Sufyan and the perfect preparation of Tracy.

airpointer APP users, pls do an update

Dear airpointer APP users, please do an software update of your airpointer.
After a major change at the certification body we use, it turns out that I had chosen one parameter wrong in my linout software. This stops the communication between the airpointer and the APP server. With a software upgrade this problem is solved and you will have the normal behavior of the airpointer app again.
